The Time Tunnel was installed in the Jupiter II as part of the Robinson's journey through the space-time curriculum as according to Einstien's Theory of Reletivitiy as the first experiments are underway, Penny went into the time Tunnel to April, 1912(75 years into the past from 1997(the Robinson's year) to the TITANIC and eventually to try to prevent the tragedy from happening,
